Financial Advisor

Vinny Dallo has been a financial adviser since 2005. He began his career with MetLife, where he learned the aspects of comprehensive financial planning. In 2010, Vinny transitioned his practice to New York Life. In 2017, Vinny established his own DBA, “Kappan Financial, LLC.”

Vinny brings a unique blend of intelligence and personality to his financial planning practice. Recognizing the complexity of many financial issues, Vinny speaks plainly and openly to ensure every client can understand these important concepts.

In the years prior to his career as a financial adviser, Vinny worked in a variety of sales and marketing capacities. Vinny left his mark at each endeavor, helping to grow each company’s revenue, strengthen their client relationships and develop other team members.

Vinny graduated from SUNY Geneseo in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. He continues his education at the American College of Financial Services, where he earned designations as a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow, a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and he is currently studying for his Certified Financial Planning (CFP®) designation. Vinny is a qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT)*. He has been a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisers (NAIFA) since beginning his career in 2005, and he has served as the president of NAIFA Rochester and sat on the board for NAIFA NYS. He continues his NAIFA involvement by routinely visiting with lawmakers and elected officials in both Albany, NY and Washington, DC.

Vinny’s professional passion is public speaking. He has conducted hundreds of presentations, educating people on all areas of personal financial planning. Vinny’s motto is, “Education is the obligation of the expert.”

Vinny is licensed in Life & Health, he is a Certified Long-Term Care Consultant, and holds his Series 6, 63 and 7 securities registrations. He lives in Chili with his wife, Julie, and their two teenage sons, Jack and Nicholas.

*The Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) is an independent association. Membership is based on production and does not qualify a financial professional to provide investment recommendations or advice. Inclusion of wealth manager in award program is not indicative of future success.

“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing. The worst thing you can do is nothing.”

The Personal Side of Vinny

Vinny grew up on Long Island, in a town called Lindenhurst on the south shore. He went upstate to attend college at SUNY Geneseo, where he met Julie, who’s been his wife since 1998. They live in Chili with their two teenage sons, Jack and Nicholas. When he’s not at work, Vinny can be found at the hockey rink watching Jack, the pool watching Nick, or at the baseball field playing hardball in a men’s wood-bat league.
